Wordpress adds CAPTCHA Security - Legitimate or Scam??

I attempted to login to my Wordpress administrator panel today, but there was a new login screen that I've never seen before, see screenshot below.

The specific message you will see is "The server http://yourwebsite:80 requires a username and password. The server says: WordPress attack protection CAPTCHA. Enter username: xxxx Password: The result of math xxxxx.
The login now requires you to input a predefined username of xxxx and an addition password of xxxx. What I thought was really weird was, I tried to login to another one of my Wordpress sites, and it prompted me with the same login screen, and showed the same username and password. Is this a legitimate Wordpress CAPTCHA, or is it the hackers trying to get access to our site? I really do not know. I'm writing this post because I didn't see anything else on the web talking about this yet, so I'm hoping someone else has seen this as well that's knowledgeable and can shed some light. I'm afraid if I enter the credentials, maybe my site will be compromised. Therefore I did not yet login.

Update 9AM
Spoke with my web host, and they said that they employed this security feature to block the botnets from accessing my website.

Wordpress administrator area access disabled temporarily due to widespread brute force attacks

Seems the Wordpress administrator area is temporarily disabled due to a widespread brute force attack. If your website uses Wordpress, your site is still available, but you wont have access to the administrator area. When you attempt to access the administrator area this following message is displayed "Wordpress administrator area access disabled temporarily due to widespread brute force attacks."

There is a workaroun, but I have not yet tried it to confirm if it works. Someone at stackexchange.com submitted  a question regarding this issue. See the following instructions and code to allow administrator access to your Wordpress site.

"Please add following to your .htaccess file in wp installation folder and replace x.x.x.x with your IP from which you want to access admin area.
  ~ "^wp-login.php">
Allow from x.x.x.x

Order deny,allow
Deny from all

admin access"
If you tried this, and it works. Please leave a comment, and I will update this post stating it actually works. This will help lots of people that will need to update their sites today.

Hurricane Sandy New Jersey Livestream

So Hurricane Sandy is expected to touchdown in New Jersey this Monday and Tuesday. Meteorologists are still unsure how bad the weather is going to be, but everyone better prepare for the worst! The reason why I am writing this post is to let you know that I will be running a live stream of Hurricane Sandy as it passes through New Jersey. There will be two live streams, one will be in Long Branch, approximately 1 mile from the Atlantic Ocean, and the other will be in Eatontown. Last year during Hurricane Irene I did a similar thing. I ran a live stream from Long Branch and Eatontown on Livestream.com. This year I plan to run the live stream directly to my YouTube channel using Google Plus. You will be able to view both locations from the one stream. Last year I also made a few videos during Hurricane Irene. You can find them embeded below.

At this moment I plan to have the livestreams starting Sunday night. You can view the livestream HERE!

Kanye West at Revel Atlantic City

Last night I had the opportunity to see the Kanye West concert at the new Revel Casino in Atlantic City. First off I just want to say, wow! Great performance, amazing light effects and a good audience vibe. Ovation Hall is a clean, spacious and high tech venue perfect for performances.

The show was set to start at 9pm, but it actually started at 10:00pm. The show opened up with the chorus from H.A.M with  ballerinas dancers. The chorus continues, much louder and the huge back drop on the stage drops to reveal a big painting of Roman type sculptures. The dancers continue dancing to the opera HAM chorus and out of no where the music stops abruptly. The music switches over to  'Dark Fantasy'.  Kanye West appears from the crowd on a crane, slowly rising. All of a sudden he starts rapping and the the crane is hovering around the front section of the venue. The bass was crazy, you could feel it throughout your body. People were standing and bobbing to the beat.

Check out some of the Kanye West at Revel Casino pictures.

Pusha T was the only special guest at the Kanye West Revel Casino concert.

At one point Kanye was dressed in something that Eddie Murphy would wear at one of his old stand ups. Red leather coat, red leather pants and red sneakers. The jacket actually reminded me of one of Michael Jackson's jackets. With that wardrobe he stood in front of a sampler playing Runaway.

He also performed some of his old stuff like Through the Wire, All of the Lights, Jesus Walks and plenty more. The show ended a little after 12am.

A lot of people were wondering if Kim Kardashian was at the concert. I think she may have been. Before the concert Kim Kardashian Tweeted a photo of the Kanye West Revel billboard saying "cant wait till tonight." Also when he was performing Theraflu, Kanye looked and pointed at the stage left balcony. She may have very well been there, but i didn't actually see her.

It was an overall good show and he's set to perform tonight as well. If you're going tonight you'll definitely have a good time!

Linguine Aglio e Olio Recipe

Linguine aglio e olio must be one of my favorite Italian recipes. It is a really easy recipe and can be done in less than 20 minutes. This passed weekend I got my own basil plant, which really made me want to make this. Fresh basil is perfect for this dish!

Ingredients:
Linguine
2.5oz Extra Virgin Olive Oil
5 Cloves of Garlic
Italian Long Hot Peppers
Parmigiana or Pecorino Romano Cheese

What you'll need to do first is fill up a pot with water and put it on the stove over high heat. Meanwhile, thinly slice the 5 cloves of garlic and quarter the hot peppers.
Once the water begins to boil, add in your linguine. Add a tablespoon of salt and a teaspoon of olive oil, give it a quick mix.

In a pan, pour 2.5oz of extra virgin olive oil and the garlic and pepper. Put the stove on medium to low heat. Make sure you do not let the garlic burn or turn brown. You will want to keep them white, even when served.
When the linguine is just about ready to be strained, turn up the heat on the pan. Strain the linguine and add it to the pan of garlic, peppers and olive oil; now turn the heat lower and mix.
Take a portion and put in a dish. Top it off with a few fresh basil leaves and sprinkle parmigiana or Pecorino Romano cheese over it.

Hope you enjoyed this!

AMRN Finally Breaks $12, Again

I've been covering AMRN for a while now. If you've been following me, I called a buy on AMRN on May 21st, when the price was $10.51; pretty good return. Check out the article here.

AMRN has recently come down to the lower trend line, drawn in the above chart; it popped right off of it. We now have a confirmed uptrend when focusing on stochastics, RSI and MACD. The parabolic SAR is also showing an uptrend. AMRN is above the 200, 50 and 20 day moving average. So where will this stock go? In my previous article I said that we can see a short term price of $13, and we almost hit that today! According to the trendlines, we could see AMRN reach $16 soon! Not to mention, AMRN has a price target of $24. We could see that price in July, or if it finally gets acquired.

Check back for more chart analysis.

Udon Noodles and Fresh Tomato's Recipe

Tonight I decided to make udon noodles with fresh tomato's. All you really need is two tomato's, onions, garlic, fresh basil leaves, extra virgin olive oil and udon noodles. What you need to do first is dice a half of an onion and 4 cloves of garlic.
Dice up the two tomato's into small cubes.
Now in a pot, pour in 3oz of extra virgin olive oil and put in your onions and garlic. Put the stove on medium heat and let cook for a few minutes. Add a few fresh basil leaves into the pot, give it a quick stir. Try not to let the garlic and onions burn, you will just want them to cook and maintain their original color. The olive oil needs to absorb the flavors from the onions, garlic and basil.
Add the diced tomato's into the pot. You will want to lower the heat now, somewhere between medium and low heat. Try not to let the tomato's boil too much, you will just want it to slowly cook. If need be, lower the flame.
Cook the tomato's for about 10 minutes. At this point you can fill a pot with water for the pasta to cook. In my recipe I used Udon noodles, but you may use whichever pasta you like.
Once the pasta is done cooking, strain it and put a portion in a dish. With a ladle, pour some of the fresh tomato's over the udon noodles.
You can top it off with a few more fresh basil leaves and some pecorino romano cheese.

Enjoy!
